Improving tertiary pathways by improving support for prospective students

Deliverables

  1. Review of Practice: A report on Stage One data collection and analysis.
  2. Review of Practice Workshop: Local presentations will be organised to engage key stakeholders and elicit feedback in order to inform Year 12 Student data collection.
  3. Year 12 Student Study Choice Experience: A report on Stage Two data collection and analysis.
  4. Prospective Student Development Framework: a learning strategy for tertiary and secondary educational sectors to use to enhance support for Year 12 Students as they make choices about educational options after high school.
  5. Study Choice Model: A process model to describe the stages in which Year 12 Students make decisions about university enrolment choices, suited to the Australian tertiary context, and adaptable to the broader post-school decision-making experience of prospective students.
  6. Year 12 Student Choice Experience Workshop: Local presentations will be organised to engage key stakeholders and elicit feedback in order to develop a relevant and meaningful pilot program.
  7. Pilot Program: An opportunity for secondary schools and universities to trial new strategies for supporting Year 12 students.
  8. Curriculum and Learning Resources for the Prospective Student Development Framework.
  9. Pilot Program Report and Evaluation.
  10. What Should I Study? Presentation: A series of workshops (three local and five interstate) designed to disseminate final results and provide learning opportunities for stakeholder groups and organisations.
  11. Academic journal publications and conference presentations.
  12. Final Project Report.
